I go here a couple times each week for breakfast. Great sandwhiches and welcoming staff. Just realize S&P is very popular and gets lines out the door especially after Noon. Easier to get in if you come alone or just as a duo. If you want to experience a NYC old style diner bar, then this is one of them. 🥪 😋 ❤️

Describing S&P as a “culinary gem” is an absurd exaggeration, but if you are looking for a classic New York diner experience (up there with Katz deli), you will find it here. Great, inexpensive food and efficient, if a little brusque service.

Service gives you the vibe that you’re totally annoying them. Food comes at all different times, looks like it comes straight out of the prison, which would also explain why it’s cold. Really can’t recommend!

Best service in NYC feels so old school and tastes solid and delicious. Coffee is pretty good and we squeezed in at the bar but coulda had a table. The staff was super helpful in making a good selection. Wish I could have tried more, lots if interesting NYC classics.
